Courtney draws inspiration from other hairdressers, short clips, and YouTube videos showcasing hairstyles and colours. Her favourites include layered haircuts and vibrant highlights.

Meet Kateryna, a hairstylist with eight years of experience, cultivating skills in Ukraine. Specialising in haircuts and colouring for the last four years, she joyfully merges shapes with vibrant hues, believing in the power of balance to enhance beauty.

Drawing inspiration from global hairstylists, Kateryna has a particular affinity for balayage, blending timeless trends with a modern touch. Embracing the cyclical nature of trends, she resurrects classics with contemporary flair. From initial trepidation in hairdressing academy to standing as a seasoned specialist, Kateryna fearlessly tackles any hair challenge.

Kerry, an experienced stylist in the hairdressing industry, began her professional journey at 16. In 1985, she joined Laurence London in Chingford through the YTS scheme, with one day of college training. After 14 years there, she took a break to start a family and transitioned into being a mobile hairdresser, skillfully balancing her career with family life.

Kerry’s passion lies in creating exceptional results and connecting with her clients. Trust is paramount, and she enjoys when clients return. She’s loved hairstyling since her teenage years, finding joy in transforming hair and expressing her artistic flair. Her favorite part is cutting, though she also dabbles in coloring, particularly foil highlights, with a primary focus on cutting.

Kerry aspires to reintroduce a more natural, wavy perm, using larger curlers for volume. In her 37-year career, she’s learned and refined her skills, building lasting client relationships from her early salon days. Kerry acknowledges there’s always more to explore in hairstyling.

Hayley is from Islington originally and that’s a long way from Bishop Stortford. Her hair journey began in London Baker Street where Hayley was trained in a small independent salon. After 5 years, at the age of 21, she felt it was time to try something new. Rush was her new home where she spent 10 years working with them at both Covent Garden and Romford.

After leaving Rush, Hayley moved onto the next part of her journey being self-employed and working as a freelance stylist for the past 8 years while bringing up her 3 children.

Hayley has really missed working as part of a team, and that’s why she chose to get back into the salon by joining the Hair by Elements team. She is classic in her techniques, but has also kept up-to-date with training over the years. She loves to take a classic technique and tweak it into something new and fresh for her guests.

Hayley says, ‘After 24 years as a Hairdresser, looking back, it’s been amazing. I’m excited for the next 20 years.’

Hair Designer Rachel has been in the hairdressing industry for over 17 years and trained in Knightsbridge, London. Rachel has been trained in all aspects of hair, from cutting and styling to colour and extensions, as well as afro hair.

What Rachel loves most about being a stylist is not only creating incredible hair, but what her creativity can do for someone’s inner self. For Rachel, it’s more than just creating beautiful hair, it’s about being able to boost someone’s confidence. She is always inspired by success. She will go above and beyond to give the best experience and expertise to each guest.

Rachel’s favourite aspect of hairdressing is huge change – no job is ever too big, whether it be a big chop or complete colour transformation, she loves it! She would love to see the vivid colour trend come back as she has always loved massive vivid colour changes and she loves to create bold statement colours.

Nicole, a familiar face at Hair by Elements for many years as a valued guest, recently made a transition from her extensive 30-year public sector career to join our team. Having enjoyed our services as a regular customer, she brings a unique perspective to her role in the Front of House team.

Meet Sarah, a seasoned professional with 18 years in the hairdressing industry and a proud mother of two. While always passionate about hairstyling, Sarah sought a new challenge within the industry, and she’s found her true calling.

Having previously worked as a stylist at Hair by Elements, Sarah has returned in a new role as part of the front-of-house team. She revels in client interactions and providing support to stylists, managing their schedules and offering professional hair advice.

Sarah brings her wealth of experience and enthusiasm to create a welcoming and supportive atmosphere at Hair by Elements. Explore the personalised touch she adds to your experience as part of our front-of-house team.

Melissa’s hairdressing career began back in 2003 working in London salons, including the West End, Covent Garden
and within the Daniel Galvin salon located in the Corinthia Hotel.

Melissa’s style is more classic and creating glamorous hair, making her guests feel great. She takes her inspiration
from social media and magazines, where she can learn about the latest trends.

Her favourite techniques are more on the classic side, including baby lights, bouncy blow dries and working with
long hair, as well as creating beautiful hair up styles for any occasion.

She worked with Daniel Galvin for colour training and worked on beautiful hair for weddings whilst working at the Corinthia hotel which feels has been one of the highlights of her career.

Joanna has been creating beautiful hair for over 30 years since leaving school at the age of 14 in Poland. Her career truly began when she graduated after 3 years of hairdressing school. She has an extensive colour knowledge from previous salons as well as training at L’Oréal Academy in Warsaw. 

She was given the opportunity to work in Manhattan, New York for 6 months in a busy salon which gave her a more cosmopolitan experience, working with different hair textures and colours. For many years she worked at the Hair and Make-up Academy for Film and TV in Camden doing character hair and make-up for various TV dramas.

Joanna joined the Elements team in 2020. She is in love with all aspects of hairdressing and is not scared of challenges. Joanna’s motto is ‘We have been given one life so have a fun/happy hair day every day.’

Joanna loves meeting guests and is inspired by them to create great hairstyles to suit their lifestyles and personality. She uses different techniques for each guest to suit their style.

Shane joined the Elements team back in 2012 as a future professional. A short time later he became a fully qualified stylist. Shane feels like he can never stop learning and building on being a great stylist and becoming a better person in himself. 

Shane loves making all his guests feel welcome and giving them a unique experience. He’s passionate about seeing his guests fall in love with their hair. His inspiration comes from watching his fellow team members and watching videos online as well as talking to other hairdressers around the UK. 
Shane’s favourite techniques are short styles and gents’ haircuts. He is also well known for his smooth straight blow dries even on curly hair and his favourite colouring techniques include classic highlights. 

Shane’s key achievements within his career include becoming the highest-rated team member in 2022 from our reviews. Building his confidence throughout his career and developing his skills with short hair and gents hairstyling. Shane will be joining the KMS creative team in 2023 working on London Fashion Week.
